Important Reminder for Stores Accepting SNAP Benefits

If your store accepts SNAP benefits, USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) requires the “Report Abuse of SNAP” poster to be displayed in a prominent location where it can easily be viewed by the public.

Recently, some retailers have received warning letters from USDA/FNS for failing to properly display this required poster inside their stores.

To avoid possible violations or compliance issues, please make sure:
1.  The “Report Abuse of SNAP” poster is posted in a visible public area
2.  Store employees are aware of SNAP rules and regulations
3.  SNAP training materials are reviewed regularly
