⚠️ Important Security Notice: Protect Your Business From Credit Card Skimmers We want to share an important reminder to help keep your business, your customers, and your payment equipment safe. Credit card skimmers are illegal devices criminals attach to payment terminals to steal card information. These devices can capture data from the magnetic stripe or chip on a card, and in some cases, hidden cameras or fake keypads are used to capture PIN numbers. Skimmers are commonly found on gas pumps, ATMs, and unfortunately, even on retail and restaurant point-of-sale terminals.
🔒 What You Should DoTo protect your business, we strongly recommend checking your pin pads and card readers regularly. Here are simple steps to stay safe: ✔️ Inspect the Terminal DailyLook for anything loose, uneven, or unusual around the card slot, keypad, or tamper seal. ✔️ Check for Glue, Tape, or AttachmentsSkimmers are often placed over the real reader. If anything looks added or doesn’t match your equipment, do not use the device. ✔️ Verify Tamper SealsIf your terminal has a security sticker, make sure it has not been cut, lifted, or replaced. ✔️ Monitor Customer ComplaintsIf customers report odd card activity or errors when inserting a card, inspect the unit immediately.
🛡 Your Security Is Our PriorityPKSPOS is committed to keeping your business safe. Regular inspections only take a few seconds and can prevent serious fraud, chargebacks, and data theft. If you have questions or concerns about your terminal, or if you suspect a device has been tampered with, please reach out right away.
